We gain so much wisdom by listening to the life stories of our customers. We are so fortunate to learn from all they have to share. In this video Jeff shares a life-altering conversation he had one day with one of our customers at the studio.
It was a cold and dreary day in February and this customer was talking about heading off to holiday at her condo in Florida. Jeff expressed how he wished we had a holiday home and could escape the cold of winter for some sunshine. Retirement must be awesome. She sure made us think differently about life with her response.
“Oh, Jeffrey,” she sighed, “I would trade my condo in Florida for your youth any day.”
Well, Jeff was at a loss for words momentarily. He wasn’t particularly young at the time, approaching 40, but to someone a few decades older it is young. No matter what side you are on the grass is always greener, right?
We don’t think about it often, but no matter how old we are we are younger today than we’ll ever be again. We sure started thinking differently about age and appreciating what we have today after that interaction with our customer. We might not be where we thought we would or have what we hoped we would at a given time, but we have today. And if we are lucky, thousands more ‘todays’ to come.
