Our sweet boys held a place in our hearts long before they ever filled our arms and our home with more love than we could ever imagine, and boy- Oh my boys- did we ever imagine!

My husband and I ‘weathered the storm’ of infertility for 1,277 days. Days filled with immense hardship, hope and the unimaginable loss of our first baby. I count each one of those days as they were part of the long journey to our two miracle babies who proved to us, just when we had almost given up hope, that sometimes, even the longest and darkest of storms ends in a double rainbow.

The day we found out we were expecting not one, but TWO babies we were overwhelmed with joy, gratitude and love. Not a day goes by where we don’t think – “two!! Can you believe it ?? We have TWO babies!”. We are so grateful to get to experience the incredible gift of parenthood.

In the past, Mother’s Day has been immensely difficult for me. For years motherhood was a dream in my heart. Two years ago my mom flew out west after our loss. Mother’s Day (that was also her birthday) was spent in an emergency room after complications following the loss of our baby. Last year, I was pregnant with the twins, and fearful every single day, praying for their safe arrival. This year, our boys are here, safe, happy and healthy . I can not even begin to express what their place in our lives means to us. To be parents. To be their mom. These two tiny fingerprints – an enormous impact. Two tiny imprints that will forever be close to my heart, my heart that was split in two and is bursting daily with pride.

Thank you to Dimples for working (from across the country even) to create this amazing keepsake to mark my first official Mother’s Day. We also had a charm made for my mom, without whom we would not have made it through. I know the impact these two boys will have on this world will be great, and I won’t be able to hold them in my arms and keep them small forever, but their fingerprints will be one place I can keep them little. Thank you for helping to commemorate this Mother’s Day as one we will always cherish, and for helping during such uncertain times to keep us focused on the things we can be certain of- the love we have for our family. From our family to yours, we thank you.
